DISTURBED Close To Finding New Bassist
April 15, 2004DISTURBED are close to finding a replacement for departed bassist Fuzz, according to a posting on the band's web site. The group held open auditions for a new bass player on March 27 in Los Angeles and April 4 in Chicago.
The posting reports, "The band recently completed the call-back process after the open auditions and are close to making their final decision. An announcement on who the new bass player is could be made within a week. The band and management would like to sincerely thank all of you who put in the time and effort of submitting material to us as well as showing up at the open auditions. They would also like to thank everyone for their patience and support through this time consuming and difficult process."
DISTURBED parted ways with bassist Fuzz late last year due to personality conflicts. The band is currently working on their third album, due for release in early 2005.
The band's next live appearance will take place at this year's Rolling Rock Town Fair, on July 31 at Westmoreland Fairgrounds near Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Also set to perform at the event are STAIND, THREE DAYS GRACE and HOOBASTANK, among others.
